Product Description

Ro-Flo Rotary Sliding Vane Compressors

Recognized for its ability to handle sour, acid and wet gas, the Ro-Flo product line is ideal when capital, operational and maintenance cost are important. Individual Ro-Flo compressors have served applications for as long as 50 years. Maintenance is a simple one-man job. A full rebuild can be completed in about a shift.

Quick Facts About the Compressors

  • Rotary, positive displacement compressors
  • Flows from 3 to 3,500 MSCFD (3.5 to 3,850 Nm³/hr)
  • Inlet to 28″ Hg vacuum (5kPa absolute)
  • Discharge pressure to 200 PSIG (13.6 bar gauge)
  • One and Two-stage arrangements
  • Sour, acid and wet gas service
  • Rotary Vane compression requires significantly less horsepower than liquid ring compressors, saving you money.
  • Ro-Flo blade life averages two years.
  • Blades can be changed with the compressor in place in a couple of hours.
  • Ro-Flo’s are successfully operating in applications with greater than 80% H2S.
  • There are Ro-Flos operating in over 60 countries around the world.
  • The new HP line of Ro-Flos can operate at discharge pressures of 200 psig.

Two Stage Gas Compressor System on One Drive

Ro-Flo Compressors - Two Stage Gas Compressor System on One Drive - Ro-Flo Rotary Sliding Vane Compressors

Ro-Flo’s low and high pressure models are flow-matched to enable two-stages of compression utilizing a single drive. The compressors are coupled together and then coupled to a drive, with both stages operating at the same speed. The added cost of 2 stage systems is justified when handling sour, acidic or heavy hydrocarbon gas streams that are known to cause cost and reliability problems with other compression technologies. Further, justification of cost in vacuum service is by virtue of the higher efficiency of the equipment.
