The Spanish Energy Sector Mobilizes in Valencia

• The Energy Cluster of the Valencia Community and Feria Valencia launch a new competition on energy that will bring together the protagonists of the Energy Transition in Spain at the Valencian fairgrounds.
• More than 100 companies and entities participate in what is called to be the most unifying event in the energy sector: Energy Global Expo & Congress.
• SAGGAS is a Platinum sponsor and NATURGY, GDES and IVACE are GOLD sponsors.
• In addition, energy clusters throughout Spain will celebrate within the EGEC 2023 programming, the first Energy Interclusters in Spain.

A hundred companies and entities participate in the first edition of the most unifying fair in the energy sector, Energy Global Expo & Congress, an event that will be held from November 14 to 16 at Feria Valencia. Among them, SAGGAS currently stands out, becoming the PLATINUM sponsor; the companies NATURGY and GDES, which support the event with their GOLD sponsorship; and the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness -IVACE- which is also established with golden sponsorship.

The massive presence of support shows that the Spanish energy sector was eager to launch an open, transversal and multisectoral sectoral event in which all entities and associations with a leading role in the Energy Transition of our country would have a place. EGEC 2023 it is, therefore, the event of the entire sector and for the entire sector. Proof of this is that the event will talk about all energies, will hold the First Spanish Energy Cluster Meeting and will serve as a framework for the official presentation of recently created national associations related to renewable energies. With a large exhibition area and a congress space structured into several forums, EGEC will bring together the entire innovative energy ecosystem in a single space for three days.

In its desire to offer an even more open framework, this year’s edition is held together with ECOFIRA. Among the events organized at Feria Valencia on those dates, the organization expects the presence of more than 12,000 attendees.

The director of EGEC 2023, Andrés Gil-Nogués states: “The unifying spirit of Feria Valencia, and also the celebration of the event at the same time as ECOFIRA, positions the event as a strategic meeting point to address and deal with the sustainable energy transition. To do this, we will have the main responsables who have the objetive to define energy policy in our community, Spain and Europe”.

Furthermore, the president of the Energy Cluster of the Valencian Community, Ricardo Romaguera, has highlighted: “The importance that within the framework of Energy Global Expo & Congress, we can bring together clusters from all over the country to clearly define our role. Our organizations have a role inmanaging this sustainable energy transition, given that trusting in clusters can be a way to rationalize the policies to be defined in each territory and unify those issues that are of interest for all Spain in the subject matter”.
