Can be retrofitted into digesters measuring up to 18 m (60 ft) in diameter and 20 m (65 ft) in height if there is no pre-existing central column. The light fraction of contaminants (such as plastics) floats to the surface of the digester, where it is skimmed out, pumped into a screw press, and then filtered for disposal.
