Schumann Tanks USA Corp: Growing Strong!

Almost three years since Schumann Tanks first established the U.S. branch, at the end of 2018, and we knew it was the right decision!

Our primary goal was to strengthen our market position in the North American AD industry, and we were quickly able to gain traction with numerous new contacts, project involvements and a significant pipeline of new projects!

Upcoming Projects

Recently, Schumann Tanks USA successfully installed and tested one of our tallest reactors ever built, with a height over 107 ft (32.75 m). A lot of experience and knowledge from our engineering team, and on-site crews, went into successfully installing a bolted tank of that height.

This achievement guaranteed us the order of a next, similar project in Virginia, to be started early next year. Construction phase is also starting for two projects this summer in Illinois (Anaerobic Digestion) and Wisconsin (Water Treatment).

We also pushed through our flagship, and best-selling digester type tank, what we call the “Danish Style 9.6k digester”. This tank is a 2.6M US Gallon, bolted digester tank based on a 1:1 ratio diameter height. We are currently designing 2 of these tanks for another project in Wisconsin, to be built this year, and are in final negotiations for several other digester tanks of that size for different projects across the U.S.

Schumann Tanks is a reliable alternative to concrete reactors, especially in high seismic areas and more cost effective comparing to welded tanks. Our 1:1 vertically mixed reactor is the best alternative for lagoon and membrane digesters, obtaining the best mixing and methane production.

Our team is constantly innovating the design, manufacture and build process, adapting to the increased demand for our products in the biogas, wastewater or drinking water storage markets. The know-how of more than 70 professionals is the key ingredient to managing every special situation or need: we understand how materials react, and exactly what is involved in a major project: applications, site conditions, special loads, budgets, execution times, etc.
